MM 55 EK2 Question / for Review

I have MM 55 ek2 which someone is interested in. His concern is that the 1939 / 1918 are off center. Is it possible that the core is just crooked? Please let me know, thanks!

There ate plenty of 55s out there so you cane find one that does not have the crooked date
