    Interesting KVK1

    Just found this unusual tombak example with brooch style pin assembly that appears to be the original setup. There are some very fine file marks either side of hinge and catch but appears to be to tidy up the solder from the application of this assembly. Anyone seen one like this previously?

      That looks more like an old school safety pin that has been soldered to the medal, probably a field repair to replace a broken original catch...
