Solder Question
Greetings,
I have a very “sprung frame” EK2 that has other damage. I know repairing a piece doesn’t increase it’s value, but in this case I am considering re soldering the frame together. As this repair is going to involve several soldering, it is effective use solders of decreasing melting points in each subsequent operation. Ideally all temperatures should be less than the solder used in the original construction. I have experience in jewelry repair and this shouldn’t be too hard. It would be helpful to know the melting temperature of solders typically used
Does anyone know anything about the solders used in the construction of EKs?
Thank you,
Chris
