There is a raised area between the arms of the swastika. Souval crosses and crosses marked 13 have this effect. A L/16 (S&L) should not have that.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I still cant see what you mean. I enclose a picture of two crosses. The one on the left has been confirmed original and the one on the right is the one under discussion. The swastikas look the same to me.
What am I missing??

I would not say it is a copy. But I am virtually certain that the cross does not came from the manufacturer so. I guess that the core has assembled later in the frame.
To be honest, I would not like that cross in my colection.
