    I've seen many EK2 with the suspention ring cutted...........what does it means???

      I think he means, like, not soldered closed. I think they are open simply because -- for economics or expediency -- they were not soldered closed.

          I think it means nothing

          It was up to the maker if the ring was soldered closed or not, late in the war nearly every suspension ring was not soldered closed.

          You can not justify the cross originality by its 'open' or 'closed' suspension ring. .

            Take a look at a Souval EK2. I´m sure your Souval cross will show a ring that is not soldered at the reverse.
