War Merit Cross Real?

    War Merit Cross Real?

    I have come across this in my travels and want to know if it is real. it is a neck order style and the owner says it is marked 1728 I believe and that he got it from a vet who got it from his friend after the war. It doesn't look great to me but you guys would know more. thanks for any information!
    I am having trouble with photos so I also need help figuring that out.

    There is no mark so high as 1728.

      To post photos you need to pay the 25$ membership fees, which will be the best money you will ever spend.
      Posting pictures of the cross will help in your quest.
