What if it isn't? I can't tell from the photos, it would have to be looked at with a loupe or better super-closeups. I know there isn't supposed to be any numbers there; but the fact that it appears a couple of numbers are there - not just one - is odd to me. That's why i was asking.

indeed, it appears that some sort of number 47,but IMO not belong there,maybe some discoloration only such an interesting coincidence

In my opinion it is the same kind of dirt/patina/loss of color that can be seen on other parts of the frame of yours, if it would be a stamp it would be a lot clearer.
but anyway it is a nice cross!
