    Salty ek 2 id requested....

Hello EK fans. I was hoping someone might be able to identify this cross by its maker? The ring is slightly misshapen and is unmarked. It has a really nice patina to both the silver frame and iron core and the arms of the cross appear (to me, at least), to have somewhat less of a "flare" at the ends...Any help id'ing this one by maker would be great. Thanks in advance...

Sorry IMO it's not K&Q, but Grossmann (11).

        Regards

Please note the digit "3" in 1939 and the level of the base of the two digits "1" in 1813. It Grossmann. IMO.

I agree. But I don't think Douglas's EK is a Grossmann. Is it marked 11?
                    Best regards,

No it is not marked ..... and the ribbon ring is a replacement . It has the same flaws in the date - and the same corners ... picture added .
That is why it is a Grossmann ..... quit rough shape - late war with poor paint and one can see the zinc bubbling under the paint .
The only other one it comes close to is a Ferdinand Hoffstätter L/19 .

                        yes ,Jarek was right
                        ,this is a Grossmann type
but a little bemused, because this in the piece usual bigger frame
but the date same than the Grossmann
(unfortunately I looked on my mobil)

Grossmann and L/19 are the same design because they use same frame and core. But I don't see that design in Douglas's EK2.
                          Best regards,

The design matches - more pictures .... core matches with the same small flaws in the date .
