Service? You're going to have to take it out
into the sunlight & see if it shows "black" or
"navy-blue" before you'll learn the branch of
service for this Cross.

I agree with others....fine original. Cloth also looks black on my screen. You can easily tell the difference by laying it on something that is navy blue.
