    Antique shop find....cased ek1

From a little up country antique shop this past weekend comes this salty, cased EK1. The case shows its age, and is missing the inner top satin lining, however is clearly marked "D&B" and also in pencil. The cross itself is in overall good shape, with a bit of oxidation to the lower-most arm (near the date), and shows honest age patina throughout, however it's un-marked, hence I'd appreciate it if anyone can enlighten me as to who the maker of this particular cross might be...Many thanks in advance for any help.

            W&L is Wächtler & Lange (100 or L/55).

            best regards,

Yes, here are a couple of them.

First, the low set date. Probably the lowest other than those seen on fake Floch types. Also, if you look at the point where the beading on the right side of the 12 o'clock arm meets the beading on the top of the three o'clock arm then count upward two beads you will come to a skinny bead squeezed into the row.

                    Regards,
                    Stu

Milton...nice find! I like to hit the local antique stores and pawn shops on a regular basis, especially when I am traveling through small towns. I have found some real treasures over the years at very good prices

Open the pin and check under it. If marked it's there to be found.
