    Round 3 1st Class cased

Trying to buy this cased round 3; 1st Class what is your opinion please, the cross I think is good but the case I do not know I do not have any experience to judge.
If possible maybe a value to indicate if it is over priced, which I think it is, and could the maker be known ?
    Thank you for any help.
    Alf

the case looks like a nice early one.
But I have to admit I am not really good with those.

The value of the cross is hard as well.
If you see them for sale prices are all over the place.

In this condition I would say about 750-850 E , add 125 for the case and that should be it...

Thank you for your feed back, much appreciated.
So the cross and the case are genuine of that period, it seems. I think the price is reasonable calculated, of course dealer will ask for more. Can these cross be matched to any makers ?
          Thanks Regards
          Alf.

            The cross is original IMO.
not sure if the case belongs to it, but someone else might be able to answer that question.

            Best regards,
            Daniel

              Hi Alf,

yes, they probably will ask more, but a lot of stuff remains unsold.
              Might be an indication.

As far as I know these crosses are from Deschler.

Thank you Daniel, that is my main concern, that the case is not to the cross.

Thank Ben, for the information. Regards
                Alf.

                  case

I think the case for WWI but not sure. Post it in the case forum to be sure. If the insert comes out (don't force) it should be marked 621DB or KB(forgot number) in raised letters. Jim

The cross is authentic and rare. The case is authentic but from slightly later than the cross. In my opinion it probably didn't come with the cross.
                    Best regards,

Thank you Jim, good to know about the numbers, but the case is not in my hands, sorry to say.

" In my opinion it probably didn't come with the cross " I thought so streptile., Is the value reduced much because of the case ? When you say the cross rare, do we have a maker for it ?
Thank you for all your replies.

                        case

The value is not reduced because of the case not being period, I would that a lot of the crosses with cases were probably matched together later. Jim

That who is was the maker ? This is a good question and the too
There been a lot of discussion about this already and there are many different positions even at the cross
This the piece IMO made by Deschler ,but this not take 100% (the form ,the pin ) because this only my opinion and thought

these really not common pieces and hard to find
                            here is my piece
