    EK11 cased curio

Here's a curious 'cased' EK11 I managed to get from Detlev. Believe it or not it was still available 3 days after his last update of 2004!!

What I like about this of course is the hand made case/box that someone has painstakingly made, a labour of love!!

Do you think it could have been made by a POW?

Notice that there is no metal hinge.

Well, just thought you may like to have a look.

Any ideas on the maker of the EK?

                Hi Allan,

i would have thought that it was a Souval, but wait for more opinions

Very nice, 'bored at the front' or indeed a POW carving perhaps, I like the fact it has a wooden hinge too.

Interesting item, a shame there's no dates or names on it.

I saw that Allan. I was wondering if anyone bought that one. Definitely a "different" case

                      Hi Allen,

its case look like a POW work.
Your IC II is definitely not a Souval. Frame and date does'nt match.
It has more resemblance with a 27 (Anton Schenkel's)

                      Best, Franki

Date and swaz on a 27, they look different to Allan's.

Nice odd case. And the EK is not 27 or 98. What about a 7 for maker. I see a lot off die flaws on it. Just checkt my 7 and yes they match.

In fact it was listed on the 17th of December and its price lowered the next week. I sold another cross last weekend to buy it, but I was late

Nice cross. It found a nice home with other great cased EK2.
