To judge that it is a Souval is easy to decide if it is original is the hard part, at least for me

Hi, I have this cross in my hands now and I noticed that the swaz and the date are very low, that is nearly flat. As this thread all agreed that this cross is war time and we know that there are some post war also, my question is do the post war Souval have the same low swaz and date?
                    Thanks
                    Regards
                    Alf.

Sorry, but that little flaw is meaningless as a sign of originality. Postwar examples can have this same flaw.

Souvals must be judged on core and hardware type.
                            Best regards,

                              Hi Alf,

Many Souvals have low features like this. The height of the core features is not a useful tool for judging authenticity.

Souvals must be judged on the core type (design), and the hardware type.

In my opinion, yours is a wartime example.
                              Best regards,
