    Assistance requested in EK1 Maker...

    Hello Colleagues,

This is my one, and only, EK1. I am requesting assistance in identifying the Maker. The Cross is Vaulted; there is little or no play with the insert. The insert appears to be brass or copper(?). There is very little frosting present; it seems to have seen some wear.

Your observations are encouraged and always welcome.

    Enjoy my EK1!

    Cheers,

    Michael Collins

    Back...

I neglected to mention that the Cross retails most of its' black finish.

              Interesting...

I went to the newly opened Cross section and surmised that it could be either an un-marked Zimmerman or Grossman. I am leaning towards the Grossman due to the clasp hook style; very simular.

Thank you Terry and Darrell; your participation is appreciated.

              Cheers!

It´s not a Zimmer or Godet date dont match. I will also say L/19 but it can be a 11 or L/59 also.

I favour 11(Grossmann). L/19 catch is completly different from the shown one.

I wont focus that hard on the catch. I cant see the rim so good as the pic is a bit blury. But I agree it can be a 11. But i need to see the rim arround the swaz.

                        Photo request?

                        Hello Mikael,

Would you like me to take a better photo of the Swastika? I can try to take it on an oblique angle.

You can search for a 11 here and compare the one you have. I will look close at the rim edges arround the swaz. I know there is some nice close pic´s on 11 markt EK´s here.
