Need EKII maker

Can anyone tell me who made this EKII? No markings on ring.

Souval, and if I'm correct the ring will not be attached to the frame on the back side. That's normal for them as is the rounded beading on the inner corners adjacent to the swas and the extended center bead in each corner.

Die flaw appears to be present as well although a little tough to see but have a look here for more info ...

Stu...you are the man Great article....based on that info it is unquestionably a Souval. Has the die flaw and the attachment ring characteristics. Now I know you are more than just a sword guy!!

One last question, so is this post war?
