This may seem draconian but I would caution, infract then ban people who pull photos ... all over the www there are utterly useless, ruined threads where people have shared their knowledge with the world only to have it rendered completely pointless.

      I agree.

I simply refuse to comment on threads with pasted photos (when I notice them).
      Best regards,

I post my own photos as I'm predominantly a contributor rather than a taker BUT I've never removed a photograph deliberately.

I agree and further suggest that the only way to post a photo is using JPG, BMP, GIF format. Jim

I agree with Ian; as a newbie trying to learn stuff and searching through the archives I've seen tons of probably very interesting old threads (at one time) rendered totally meaningless because pictures and posts were edited to oblivion or because of posted pictures that later dissappeared.

IMO if its important enough for a member to post info/picts to seek or give feedback the best long term by-product we should expect in return as a forum is to have continued access to the thread for posterity. Nobody should be allowed to edit threads or pictures.

We mean all the photos that originally accompanied this thread. The e-stand thread will disappear/be deleted (provided the sale goes w/o a hitch) and those pix will be gone too.

But this thread is now useless. People will do a search for "Bad EK1 spange" or "EK1 Spange" (for instance), and this one will come up, without photos. Totally useless.

It can be interpreted a couple of ways - "I got my info, so I don't care about others", or "Well, I'll just re-sell the bad spange somewhere else, and since my pictures are gone, it'll be tough to pin it on me".

Of course, you might not have any nefarious plans, but it's just bad forum manners. IMHO.

              best,
              Hank

Appears BlacksmithLife doesn't much care....he's been on the forum numerous times past few days, no further replies.

                Oh well.

As many other people who removes pictures, he might not care!
He/she got what they came for, rest is of no importens to them!

I would like if it was only possible to post pictures via the forum, and not by using photo hosting sites.
