EKI / EKII Spanges for Authentication

Hello Friends - These are admittedly outside my area of expertise.

I took these as trade, and wanted to make sure they were original.

    Thank you,

    BL

    spanges

The spange on the left is an L/16 (S&L), the one on the right is a fake. Jim

      I agree, and I think the EK1 is a good 107.

        Add'l Pics

Thank you guys. I added three more pics below.

One of the clasp on the EKI, showing an "L15" on it.

Also, added two better close-ups of the spange on ribbon. Are these pieces both original? What is an appropriate value?

Thanks again, and sorry for all the questions.

Hmm, not good. Not a 107 after all. These L15s controversial, with many considering them fake.

For the S&L Spange that you just put up good photos of, I'd say $225-250.

If the L15 EK1 were mine I would sell it for $90 as a controversial piece.

The fake Spange may have some value too. $30?
          Best regards,

Should the S&L Spange be marked anywhere?

Can be but not necessary. If it's marked L/16 on the reverse add $50, in my opinion.

My L/16 is marked right behind the wreath. I agree with Streptile on the prices. This also answers your PMs. Jim

IMO, they should be reposted here or the thread is useless as a future reference.
