DKG in full cloth without date

This DKG puzzles me....and I therefore had to take it with me...

It is fully made of cloth (also the wreath), does not have a date and came with a collection of Polizei tunics.

    Is this a fantasy piece?

I like it too, materials look convincing, etc.

I have uploaded an extra picture taken under different light (and have to get a new black light...)

It does look like to be tunic removed; one can see traces of stitching.

But what is the reason that there is no date in the wreath? I can't find any information on that.

This is a REALLY nice looking badge with high quality. Looks believable!
                Kind regards, Peter

Does anyone know the reason why there is not date on the wreath? I was told this one most probably came from a Polizei tunic but I can't find anything in reference books...does it have to do with service branch?

This example might be legit. Might not. Now way to know for certain.

Not a chance! This is merely an upgraded version of the standard fake that has been doing the rounds this last few years with that typical tight embroidery to the grey starburst, they have lately improved the metal wreath design and this appears to be a new variant of the same copy- do not buy it.
