War Merit Cross with Swords in Silver....Fake??

I'm 99% sure this Merit Cross is a fake, but could someone who knows far more about them than I do confirm this for me.

Yes Terry .... that is an old fake .... around many years . Some distinct features to that peticular fake . As always fakers have modified these mistakes over time now .
The more we point out mistakes ... the harder they try to correct them -- a catch 22 .
Generally speaking originals almost all have a taper to some degree as seen below .
Be warned some new fakes --- have mastered the taper as well now !
