    EK1 spange combo L/16

They also come in 2 pieces......

This was an unexpected bonus out of an English war veteran's estate as I thought I was just getting a spange and an ek1, only when I saw the reverse of the clasp did I realise they had started life as one.

It seems that on these S&L ones the soldered join was very thin so I guess this was a common problem- this could well have happened during wartime wear. The EK1 is marked L/16 on bottom cross arm.

    Hope you like it

Fantastic find, Patrick. I have looked for the St&L set for years. Congratulations.

              Kind regards,

Whenever I see the term 'EK1 Spange Combo' in the title of a thread, It's usually a safe bet to assume it's going to be a fake, so to see this damaged beauty is a real pleasure! What a great find! congratulations.
