From the photos it looks like it could be a good Wiedmann with a bad repaint. Is it three-piece and magnetic?

Yes Streptile! Its tree piece and magnetic!
Now when I look closely at it, so it looks like the date and the swastika is repainted

Not unusual; I've seen crosses where the paint was removed from the swastika and date to give it a different, more impressive look.

That is correct . On a brass core they really stand out .

You're right Trevor, the date 1939 looks like a Wiedmann's
