    Show me a L/58 or 53 EK11

    Hi you EK11 guys,
I wonder if any of you would be kind enough to post a pic of an EK11 with either an L/58 or a '53' mark (for Glaser & sohne of Dresden ??).

    Cheers,

    Dear Harry,

L/58 is Rudolf Souval and L/22 is Glaser & sohne.
    Regards
    Hans N

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Sorry, I was using an old referrence (Robin L's book) which had L/58 as Glaser & Sohn. But I see in Gordon's book, it is in fact Souval!

          Thanks for the Link Terry

The reason for asking is because I have 2 EK2 cases, both marked L/58 and both came with crosses in them, but the crosses appear to be different. Here are the cases.........

interior of both is the same.......I do not want to post the crosses, yet, until I get some feedback!

I think you have to show the EK´s. And have in mind there can be any type off maker in those as peapole dont like a empty case. You can find here how a Souval look like if you search. I have a unmarkt EK2 whit orginal packet from him.

I have done a search on Souval EK2s but have come up with all sorts, some crosses looking different to others......

                    Cheers,

Here are the 2 crosses, the first I think is a '24', it has no maker mark but an 800 on the ribbon loop, it is heavier (21.3g) than other EK2s that I have....

the second cross is not MM either, but I think it is a '65', it has that matte finish to the paint...........I am only guessing as I am not 'well-up' on the different EK2 characteristics.........but I need to know what an L/58 should be like so I can 'complete' these cases properly!

Harry that first if its size is about just over 45mm in the frames then it´s a 24. I did get a 24 that was sold as a 077 but the 0 was the Acorn stamp i do think you can get that to a 8 also. The nr 2 can well be a 65. Non off them are a Souval in any way. There is only one that make this frames that my EK have and that is Souval. There is just one thing that dont match in my EK2 wen compare to a EK 1 from him, and that is the core. There is some other makers that did use his frames like 15 and L15. Then some just found out, the cores can be diff in EK1 beside EK2´s. Look´s like Deschler is one that have diff cores.
