    Tom Hansen, RK Pioneer!

    Tom,
On the eve of your scientific investigation into the depths of the RK, I SALUTE YOU! Your singular crusade for knowledge, not to say willingness to put your RK on the line, is commendable.

Please post your findings and the details of the experiment ASAP. I will be checking this thing all day on the 4th to see if you post anything. So FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAN, please post something ASAP!

    Regards,
    Marc

Thanks for the encouragement, Marc. In contrast, I consider myself to be a novice RK chump, but just a little curious. My time is tommorrow from 8-12 in the morning. I have to return to clinic from 12:30-5, so as soon as I get home I will post the information with photos. Hopefully it is not a bust, or I will look like a big idiot (it will not be the first or last time if that occurs). If this does prove a useful tool, I think we can use it for other studies as well, particularly to look at unknown maker RKs, such as the 3/4 ring and the rounder.

I have the K&Q and two Klein EK2s to test- one provided by Mathias Zimmer, the other by little Drew Hansen. I cannot find any repro around the house to serve as a true fake, which would be interesting, but I do not know how much time the whole thing will take, and we will have a better idea after a first time through.

Any other last minute suggestions from anyone? Thanks

Tom, I was going to send you that fake 333 but obviously I didn't get a chance... holidays were a killer.

        Tom,
Have fun! Enjoy! And take detailed notes. This should be a very interesting excercise...

        Regards,
        Marc
