Couple of iron crosses for review

Looking at purchasing these two from a local, old timer who is starting to cash in on his retirement package.

First is a WWI 3 piece with steel core and full ribbon iron cross. The ring is maker marked 13.

Second is a WWII 1st class. 3 piece constructed with steel core. The pin is also maker marked 13. The weight is lighter than any of the other EK's I own.

Would like to here your opinion on the two.

They're both authentic.

The 1914 EK2 is an early one with an iron (not steel) core. The mark is either fake, or it doesn't read "13." It's hard to judge from the one photo.

The 1939 isn't stamped "13" for Brehmer but "L/13" for Meybauer. This one has a steel core.

If I were you I would take the 1939 (if the price is right) but leave the 1914. Standard 1914 EK2s are so common and so cheap (under $75) that finding another will be a cinch.
