I got this from a trusted source but I noticed that the 1939 was not centered exactly, is it good or not? Sorry about the pics but cannot get closer.

The frames are Souval but i dont see that it is a Souval. Is the core magnetic? is there any small pimple just out side the rim on the topp arm?.

don t see any pimple, don t see one on your piece either, there seems to be a slight rim scrape on the right edge of the top arm , but that is all, I can t find a magnet to check at the moment

Any how it´s a genuin EK 1. I dont see a complete Souval EK on the pic´s. So i have to say it´s a Orth maker 15. If you take a look about him you will see what i did mean about the pimple. Orth did get frames from Souval to complete his EK´s, the diff you see is that it can have a non magnetic core and the date is not Souval. I think some search here will clarify it for you.
