All nice pictures and nice maps. But the question remains....why he ask this low price?!?! And why he refuse to Travel to make the deal?! When i do such highclass deals i always do it in face to face. And sorry, if you put this Documents in an Auction where you know you will have enough Buyers too.....you would imo get a lot more out of it, and that minus the fees at the Auction.......I dont question the Documents i just question the way.......

When I sell items like this I like no face-to-face contact with collector unless I know them very well.

Best thru dealer (middle-man) or auction house.

Then you can sit on your Item until you have gray Hair....i think long time something must be wrong in collecting....this here just add a bit more proof.

Why should i not be able to meet the seller when i want to buy something in that pricerange from private? And i personal would never ever send any of my items to a Auction House or a Middle Man....for what? To pay more money for zero? Cmon

When you collect items in the EUR 50k to 200k price-range, normally the last thing you have is time and patience. Also you want discretion and remain anonymous. Trust me, the last thing you want is strange collectors, weirdos and jokers, this hobby is full of, to steal you time and possibly impose a potential threat to you.

For those cases and sellers a middle-man (dealer) or auction house is all worth the spare change, trust me.

                Cheers,
                Markus

I am sure most here would be delighted to see your treasures. Can you post some pictures?

                  cheers

I collect now many years, and i do had some highrange deals in both ways, selling and buying. And always i did it personal. I know very well there are a lot Idiots out there, but sorry, i dont collect to hide at home and be scared of everything. Then i have to look for a better and saver hobby, like dont know stamp collecting. And what have this to do with time and patience!!?? What is faster then to meet and close the deal? To give your Item out of your Hands to some Clown Dealer or Auction House? I HATE AUCTION HOUSES!!!! The only one i trust in this Hobby is myself. So makes for me absolute no Sense why i should do it. Maybe i am oldstyle and the new collectors are like this i am not. And one thing was this Hobby always for me, a way to meet new People, and not to write some stupid Mails and send some parcels or money somewhere. So when i buy something for 10K up.....i will always go there and take it myself, where ever it is. 2 Years ago i bought a nice Leather Map from Himmler, the Seller was in Kentucky...i ask if i can come, he was more then happy about it...i go there we meet and till today we have a lot of contact, calls and stay in good contact...this would never happend if i use any other way to get the Map

                          Markus,
I absolutely agree with you about your way of handling.
Travel to meet with your other side "e collector" , this might happen.

                            Yes Chen -

You know what I'm talking about.

Individuals/friends I know I also like to visit, pick up the ítems, enjoy the trip with the family. Have done so a few times and will always repeat.

Moreover to ensure safe receipt of the ítems! Personally I prefer to spend a couple of extra $k for a trip to pick up an item than running the risk of loosing it in the mail system. The travel expense is always a tiny fraction of the item and well worth it.

Anyway, only my opinion, everyone will handle things there own way. What do I care...

                            Cheers!
                            Markus
