EK11 L/11 in LDO case but.....

Don't know how unusual this one is, a WW1 EK11 stamped L/11 so made during the TR period, in a LDO case with non-combatant ribbon.

    What do you think guys?

I'm posting it in this forum as I thought the TR connection was interesting!!!

          A very nice set Allen!

Both cross and case are very fine and well preserved
          Thanks for showing

            Were WW1 crosses/awards produced until 1945?

My understanding is that 'replacement' WW1 awards were made, or were available through the TR period.

Yes, that I know, but for how long? Until the end?

Ah! Sorry, I don't know to be honest, although I would guess as the war progressed, shortage of materials, replacement WW1 medals were not a priority.

Until the end of the TR period and beyond into the early "57er" period as far as I know.
