    L55 EK1 just arrived!

Just got this gorgeous maker marked L55 today. The mm is under the pin (L55 without a slash) and I just can't get a clear picture. The Halb-etui case is marked L55 and came with the guarantee paper. Enjoy - I am!
    Regards,
    Marc

You were absolutely correct in your discription.

                      Marc-

I have 9 EK1s and the my L55 is BY FAR the best. Mine certainly shows more wear than yours but it certainly is my favorite. I find the construction to be top notch... I will post three pictures of it that give you an idea of its quaility and condition - the maker mark is on the inside of the pin, but on an angle (and no slash).

                            Brian,
Great EK! and nice shots! Is the case marked? What I find interesting is the case is marked "L/55" and the cross "L55" - they do not conform on slashes...perhaps I am expecting too much.

I honestly think we small group of addicts give all these details far more thought than the manufacturers ever did...

                            Regards,
                            Marc

                              I agree!!

Believe it or not, this is the newest member of my group of 1939 EK1s - I bought off of the infamous "unionjack" about six months ago. The pictures are from him and the case in the pictures didn't come with the cross. I have it displayed in another case that I had from earlier.

I have an L/11, L/13 screwback, L/58, L/50, 6, L/52 with 20, and two unmarked crosses and this one is the best!!!!

                              Brian
