I thought this cross was a um 127, I have now been informed it is an um '23'

It has the thick bead at 10 o'clock that indicates it is a 23 .

Yes, Douglas is correct, a '23' frame. But, I believe a Meybauer core. On my cell so I may be handicapped somewhat, but still looks like a Meybauer core.

The long-nosed '1' in the 1939 date looks like the early Meybauer core.

At home now and able to add to this thread with some files. Here's a full '23' cross. Date numbers are different than the Meybauer core in the opening post of this thread...

Second photo shows two defining details associated/typical with a '23' frame.

Here's a Meybauer EKI with what looks like the same '1939' date as the EKII in the opening post has...

Your 2nd one Robert has a very thin arm swastika which I do not see in the one Adam posted .
Appears to me to be closer to your first posted one ?

Don't look so much to the national symbol, but primarily to the 'nose' on the '1'.

Close up of the cores . The dates may be very close - the center symbol certainly have different flanges ?

Thanks for taking the time to debate this cross guys. Here are some better pictures of the dates, I don't think its a meybauer core.

Much better shot of the EK2 . Core looks like a S&L core .

For me it's typical Arbeitsgemeinschaft ... Berlin (= 23) with own core.
