            Dale,
My apologies. However, I am old enough for the "senior moment" affication.

No problem, while I was pointing fingers for your senior moment I was having my own as I confused you with Chad!

                Hey Chet,

No problem The confusion comes from the names "streptile" and "stepdale." I've received a couple nice PMs addressed, "Dear Dale..." I always send a polite explanation and assume the sender gets in touch with Dale. One was even an invitation to dinner. Should've gone to that one.

                Dale,

I'm no S&L expert but that cross has some promise, as I mentioned earlier. Even if it's a postwar version, it has some value. And I don't know any postwar versions with the micro-800 mark, so that might be a good sign. Wait for the experts.
                Best regards,
                Streptile

My best guess from these photos is that the cross is real, although there are some things (like the soldering) which are concerning (again, just from the photos). If interested in possible sale, after an in-hand inspection, drop me a line.

Agree with all you say, my friend. I also do not understand the upward slanting "clip" to the beading frame edge on the lower right of the reverse. On the other hand, it appears to have the 9-12 o'clock flaw and the inner corners of the obverse frame next to the swastika appear to have been filed. That's why "in hand" is needed now.
