The executors have found no paperwork, though they know he bought some things such as the supposed Doenitz uboat set from a dealer in New Jersey who only used a mail order catalog. Many of the items also came from an auction house in Tallahassee that has a no return policy, while he also bought from dealers at shows in Marietta and Jacksonville. He often bought from one dealer who then apparently told others at theses shows that he was looking for certain things, because other dealers would then approach him and sell him more. There are no family members other than a minor child who will inherit whatever money comes from the estate. Although he did poorly in TR collecting, he did well in other areas and the child should be fine.

Without paperwork and witnesses, the executors feel it is best to just let it lie. The collector did pass away without knowing that he wasted his money, so that is at least one consolation.

OK , It is after all their call and I will go lay by my dish and growl for a while !!!

Will try to post them there if i get a chance, getting a bit overwhelmed with family and health matters as well as photo editing for helping the executors with the estate.

Much as I would like to hunt down the slimeballs that ripped this guy off, it just takes too much time, money and effort to do so.
