    EK1 and 2 repro?

    Hello,
I am trying to help settle the estate of a long time collector who recently passed away. He had a huge collection of TR items, but unfortunately he did not keep up to date on reproductions and bought the bulk of his items from dealers that took advantage of him. This was unfortunate as he was a good man and a true hero who earned the silver star and numerous other bravery decorations in Vietnam. I am unable to take the time to study each award in detail and am trying to take photos of everything (beyond the usual crude repros) to post here to show the executors of the estate.

These are from a grouping that allegedly came from a KM leutnant. I believe the EK1 is a complete repro but I'm not sure on the EK2. Can I get your opinions please?
    Thank you,
    Dale

        Hi Dale,

That EK1 is bad for sure.

        Is the EK2 magnetic?
        Best regards,

          Hi,
I agree, cross EK1 looks bad but cross EK2 it's for me Rettenmaier's (16) with a typical flaw (like a photo).

          Regards
          Jarek

Yes .... the EK1 is a post war cross . The EK2 is an original Rettenmaier .

Thanks guys. At least something in this grouping is original - the EK1 and the uboat that came with it are both outright fakes.
