Opinions on cased KVK 1

Ok so the other KVK I posted was sold before I could get to it. But now I have been given photos of this cased KVK marked 62. Here are the photos. Is it legit? Also it's being offered for sale to me for $240. Is that a fair price?

A good tapered pin variant of a Kerbach & Osterhelt cross. The case is good also although I don't believe this cross was in it orginally.

I agree with Chet,

The case is an early type, one which would house a tombak KVKI, IMO.
