DKIG Green Patina

Hi Gentlemen,

I found an interesting grouping from a Lt. with pics, certificates and a DKIG.

The cross seems great, but i only never saw this kind of green patina in the back.

Any opinion about?

I´ve seen it before and that´s quite common and depends on how the cross have been stored

Hi Ron,

Do you have shots of the obverse, and then one of the reverse with the pin closed?

The green is naturally-occuring verdigris that grows on copper-bearing metals when it comes into contact with moisture. The solder, rivets and backplate were all made with copper and this cross was likely stored in an area subject to humidity IMO.
