The way the needle is bent that pin might have been worn on a jacket or coat collar = and then the mini would be facing the right way up .

This is an odd piece. Schickle are known to have produced this type of combo with the 2nd class sitting above the 1st class, but the pin+bar appears IMO to be glued on upside-down.

Hi Sanya,

Maybe you're right about the resin, you're closer to the mini and I can't challange your suggestion. The pin is soldered upside down though, no question about it. The only way it could be worn properly would be to turn it back 180 degrees, just in the same fashion as the zinc pieces, which had the pins soldered directly on the crosses. To do that on this type of attachment would be totally redundant and it would also make the arrangement un-necessarily wobbly when worn.
