Review of EK1 requested

Hi all

A friend has this EK1. He asked me about it and I couldn't place it to a maker.

From the the front it looks a bit like a K&Q but the reverse is nothing like a K&Q.

Your opinions please?

I only have seen the sames photos as posted. I had thought S&L going by the catch but the big blob of solder at the hinge had me wary ( see 3rd pic).

All is fine - Rich !

Once you mention the 'blob' - it was clear . I saw the solder spot and it did not click at first .
A S&L EK1 pin set with an original mounting deficiency that did not hold up .
As visually 'ornate and acrobaticly' it at first may have appeared - a ' balancing act ' quite delegate to maintain and where some would break .
