    EK1: Help with maker identification

I hope this is the correct forum for this question - if not, (moderator) please delete.

I just acquired this EK1, WW1 version) in a WW2 vet purchase. My expertise is TR, but would like some assistance on determining maker. There are no maker marks on the case, and the only maker mark in the badge is this "Y".

Much appreciate anyone that might be able to opine on this. Many thanks!!!

Well, I'm going out on a limb here, but since it's a WW1 cross, you might want to post in the often neglected Imperial forum....

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.
