Early Boerger spange ???

Hi Guys,
Early spangen are pretty much out of my price range but I happened
upon this one that is really beat up at a fairly decent price.

So my question to you is-----is it the real deal or did I buy a fake?

It is really beat up but it is original "two prong center" style. Jim

That really makes me happy. All of the examples I have saved in my files
had 4 prongs. When I saw that it had (at one time) only 2 prongs, I got
worried.

mangled but looks 100% real, I love them like that
I wonder what story it could tell? damage looks very old…
