The mark looks like a 25 .

Is the 25 a common mark for EKIIs?
The cross is a bit rusty.
Shall i have to leave it as is or try to protect it with vaseline oil?

25s are common and some may or may not put Vaseline on it .
I would not myself but do get an air tight acid free pouch for it instead (coin shop).
