    Cased Deumer Spain Cross

Hi guys, I've been chasing this one for a while.
I'm reliably informed that it is a Deumer, I was wondering if there is evidence to support this or is it a case of the evidence pointing that way and a generally accepted attribution?
Hope you like, the quality is just great
    Cheers - Greg

Hello Greg, you asked "I'm reliably informed that it is a Deumer, I was wondering if there is evidence to support this or is it a case of the evidence pointing that way and a generally accepted attribution?" but did not receive a reply.

You have yourself a really nice badge. Your question made me wonder as I haven't paid much attention to SC's in a while. I think the answer to your question is that there are marked Deumer SC's made later than your badge and you can backtrack because they would come from the same die. Details in the sword hilts, etc. In addition to that, the chisel shaped tip of the pin is a characteristic of Deumer as found on their EK1.

Not an expert on this but that is what I was thinking. Maybe do a search on Deumer Spanish Cross and see what you find.

Thanks Richard, I think there is a book due out on the SC as well

                          Hello,

this variant is Deumer. It is proved by pieces with manufacturer stamp. The imprint is 100% identical. In particular, the hilts, eagles, etc. are the same.

It has to be accurate. Seeing much that is opinion by some of our experts distorting facts.
