Deschler 1939 KVK1X (with a mistake)

Hello guys,

I just acquired my first medals of the new year. Among the lot of five medals was this Deschler-marked 1939 War Merit Cross First Class with Swords. I think it is a really neat piece as the attachment hardware is mounted upside down. It appears that this was a mistake made at the factory as I can see no evidence of repair done at a later date.
