But this is not a complete set of. Here we see the early case and late cross. In the case of this type should be tombak cross. And this zinc cross must be in a case of another type, with rounded corners.
This is my opinion.

thanks fred, that was my opinion too as I said in the intro (well really not opinion, but fact.) not that it makes that much difference. of course it's not uncommon to see such 'later-with-earlier' mismatches from the factory, and note again they are BOTH K&Q products, meaning both high-quality and desirable esp. in nice condition. the early case alone with the detailed medal on the cover is quite scarce. have a great Yule season and all the best, dw
