Here's an interesting KvK1X that I used to own marked L/11. Unfortunately I don't have a pic with the pin closed but it was just like the pin on my EK1 which has been identifed as 'Grossmann'. Even the catch is similar.

this is what i ment with the maker mark.

although this pictures do not really proove it (because the quality is very low) i am of the opinion that both the "11" and the "L/11" (one of these two shown types) are of the same die. in addition i want to say that i am speaking of the L/11 mark WITHOUT box!

i do not possess a m.m L/11 without box and i didn't find good pictures in the archives either.

This is then a Deumer, too?

                  Excuse for the bad pictures.

michael, it can be a deumer but i am not sure.

there are some kvk with this type of needle out there with different mm.

here i have compared the two mm, "11" on a EK2 (thanks george) and the mm of the EK1 "11"
i do not see any similarities.

1: the style of he "1" itself is different (the angle on the "11" Ek2 seems to be much bigger!)

2: the distance between the 11 is much bigger on the mm EK2

                        fantastic, michael!

do you think you can make such a good picture like this so we can compare the two makers?

Stefan, I think you are right.
                          Obviously different stamp.

And you are shure they did use the same tool to mark a EK2 as they did use to mark a EK1. I dont think so!

no, no... this i not the same tool at all.

still, comparing the makermarks is not important, because the caracteristics of mm EK2 "11" and mm EK1 "11" are so different (concerning the frame, date, core, ribbed part...)
its only a small factor that prooves that they are not of the same firm.
