Spanish Cross with Swords in Gold

    Hello guys,

this one came in last week.

    I hope you like it.

Unfortunately nothing else more than a ribbon bar from the Soldier.

    Best regards,

        Hello,

I see a very beautiful and original Juncker piece.

The 900 juncker pieces that were awarded to the original owners.

        Gruß LC

Indeed a very nice cross and just like the one in my own collection.

          A question for Hansgünther;

Why are the "900" marked Juncker crosses a lighter gold colour that the "CEJ"/ 900 marked pieces which are a darker gold colour?

I have no idea why and it has always intrigued me.

Were the "CEJ" gold crosses award pieces or the "900" crosses or both?

            Hi Stan,

            nice of you to read!

            To your question!

The difference is not only in the color. The back is very different in the pieces.
The CEJ / Gold 900 is identical to the CEJ / 900 silver pieces.

The pieces with CEJ / 900 from a different production series, a little later!
It was determined only used a different gilding.

I am of the opinion that the CEJ / 900 second pieces were! These are almost always found in better shape than the pieces. Only with 900 hallmark
The 900 were almost always worn a lot, and have a poor gilding.

            Greeting LC

            Hans Günter

The problem with this is the use of the CEJ stamp ended it didn't begin later...

Look at all the Pilot/Observer/ROAG badges. They did not begin with no marks and then go to the CEJ "later".

By 1939 they were well on to their full maker mark which would have fit nicely on the back of the SK.
