KVK with strange court mount

HI all.

Stumbled across this KVK whilst trawling the internet. Am going to try and make the same court mount and want to ask, is this made up of 4 separate pieces of ribbon or just 2 prices that have been folded over? Any advices / help would be appreciated.

It's the South German/Bavarian style mount using 2 pieces of ribbon. Rare to see this on a WW2 award. Used mostly during the first war.

Odd to see a Silver cross when it should be a bronze one

Along with the Austrian tri-fold mount, the dress code no longer permitted this style of mounting as of 1942/43.
P.S. it is made from two separate pieces of ribbon.

So is the ribbon 'twisted' in the middle?

As well as the Saxon style mount.

It's kinda hard to describe...more like pinched/pleated to the upper left and lower right.

Gosh - these are difficult to replicate - spent last hour not getting it right - anyone out there tried to do this before ? Any pointers ?
