    RK "C" frame photo request

Hi, I'm about to acquire a "C" frame 57er RK and I realise I know nothing about these crosses. I have Maerz's RK book but it makes no mention of this.
    On "Germandaggers.com" it mentions:

Steinhauer & Lück has produced Knight's Crosses using 3 different dies, known as Type A, Type B, and Type C. Type A are accepted as pre 1945 production. Type C is known to be post 1945 production.
    But it shows no photos.

There used to be a cracker of a thread on S&L post 1945 crosses before Maerz released his book but I can't seem to find that now.

Can anyone with photos of the type "C" (both 1957 and fake "wartime") please post here? It will be a good reference point.

Thanks streptile - any others? I'm especially interested in tell tales such as die flaws and other unique characteristics of the type C

The "C" frane has some of the same die flaws as the "B" frame. Just look at the dent row. The 6-9 o'clock flaw seems to have dissapeared.
The minute flaw at the right side of the 6 o'clock arm is still there, just as it is on the "A" and "B" Type.

Thanks Dietrich, the dent row you refer to - it's the 3 o'clock arm right? Are the c-frames repaired dyes or reproduction dyes suffering from the same fault resulting in the flaws?

The evidence is pretty clear (based on the die itself as well as the actual physical appearance of models over time) that it is always the same die which was repaired.
