Knights Cross ribbon

Hello all,

I have this one on hold for me on a dealer site (I believe a member here) and just wanted to verify this is a textbook wartime ribbon. I'm not a ribbon expert by any means and the fact that they were produced and issued after the war ended gives me reason for concern. Are there even any legitimate wartime crosses with the smaller ribbon bar EK_2 ribbon used as ties? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

and here's a different ribbon I have that came with a reproduction RK and to me they look identical....

is there a general rule of thumb that I should be looking for in these?

Hi William,
I assume they are of 2nd class EK width... Otherwise the white stiches, as you certainly know, 25 or 30 (23/24 also exist)

ribbon 1 is a completely fake post war ribbon. look at the edge loops (or lack thereof).

Ribbon 2 is a post war one- you need to count the white stitches and they need to number 23 minimum to be a wartime example- ideally 25+

The small ek ribbon neck ties I have seen on a couple of what I considered to be original neck ribbons but this is exceedingly uncommon on period RK EK ribbons (unlike the RK KVK) as they were not issued this way and the recipients constructed their own wearing assembly.
