Boxed EKII Price....

Hi,

I would appreciate some opinions on the price of a boxed EKII. I'll try to get photos later if I can.

It's the common LDO type with the gold or tan colored flocking in the base. The cross is a 65, so probably isn't original to the box. The seller is asking 400EU. That seems like a pretty steep price. Am I wrong in assuming this??

BTW, the case is in very good condition, but not mint.

That's a lot of scadols for a case. Take the EK price away from it and I think you are in a little deep on that...

The box looks good to me, does the box have a K&Q mark anywhere, the only reason I ask is that it will give the case more provanince if it is matched to the award, for that price I would hold out and ask Mr Weitze or Detlev if they have any at present.

I know they always come up, you would be paying around the Euor 400 to 450 mark, but you would also have an award that is married to the the case, this would look more professional and have a better resale value if you ever decided to sell it, not that you would.

My cased EK2 matches both award to case, with the maker mark on the reverse of the case, and most do.

If the case does match the award I say go for it, if not I say wait untill you find one that does, you will feel a lot better for it in the long run, and you will not sleep uneasy at night over this case, they do make heavy repos of these cases as well.

Not that I am saying that this is a repo, you just want to be happy with it in your collection.

I to think this is a genuine box, it would be better with Ldo (old style) on the lid and of course with the Ldo warranty card for this money !!! But even then it's to much money for my likeing in all fairness.
