i got the 10 euro expertise for all my 6 medals that were under 250 euro that i got off him. All expertise had a obverse and reverse photo of the item with his stamp and signiature across both photos and certificate.

      Hi all,
I received my expertise in a A4 envelope which had a hard cover back to it so it would not get bent

      regards
      Peter

Hi all, hope you dont mind but when buying two items, are they shipped together in the same package (and so charged for post once) or are they shipped seperately and charged twice. All replies welcome.

Mine come in one package. I will try to buy one nice item every once in a while. If I am the lucky guy I will then go and look at the more common or older items and add them to my order. I usually pick up a few spare ribbons or something small that would not really be worth buying seperately. This seems to work well.

If you buy anything on Detlevs side and the price is under 250 Euro you get a photo-certificate for 10 Euro. If you send one of your own medals to Detlev and order a certificate for it you pay 25 Euro for this one with photo.

I understand that for items over 250 Euros, a photograped expertise come free with the item at no charge.

For items less than 250 Euros, a Expertise is obtained for 10 Euros but does not include a picture. It is also mentioned on his site that a photo expertises come at 25 Euros.

Do you have to state to get a photo'd expertise in the "comments" section of the order form? When I played around with an order once, the only one that showed was the 10 Euro one (which would not include photo)

Thanks for the info CR. Might try that method myself, much appreciated.

My experience is he uses Fedex when the value is greater than 6-700 USD.

Regarding other questions, he combines orders. Both for the medals, but also for the CoAs. I ordered stuff with CoA two weeks in a row and had to wait a long time before the CoA arrived, turned out it waited for the second one.

I think I have always paid 10 USD for P&P, no matter cost or number of items. But then again, I have never bought anything really big...

Ordered a KRIM shield from Detlev last week. He sent it Monday Dec 13th, it arrived on Friday Dec 17th. Payed 6 Euro shipping. The GOA is soon to follow. Wow ... never knew something could move so fast in the mail near Xmas time ... even in Canada.

I've had stuff arrive 2-3 weeks after shipping just locally in Alberta.

And ... no Duty Charges this time ... that's a first

Darrell, I don't know what it is but Canada Post is kicking ass right now! I am amazed at the speed you got from Detlev, as I was impressed yesterday when I opened my mailbox to find a photo that was mailed from Atlanta on Monday. Usually it takes four days to get a bloody letter from Vancouver to Calgary

I guess we shouldn't get used to it though as after xmas is over they will go back to their old crappy ways.

That's true ... I was very leary ordering anything this time of the year ... especially over seas ... but this one makes me real happy. I have heard nothing but good things about Detlev's shipping times, even to folks here in Canada.

Like you say, it is probably a "once in a lifetime" occurance ... but we can always hope
