    IMO Orth
Definitely a cross I consider wartime.

Have you checked the inside of the pin for markings?
I once had one with 2 dots on the inside of the pin, near the hinge....

      Hi Ben

The swas looks very thin and I don't recognise that hardware as Orth

But I bow down to your knowledge and experience

        Hi Nick,

I wrote "IMO", I do make mistakes as well.
And they are easily made when it comes to Souval/Orth crosses....

          Ben
I have looked in Dietrichs Ek1 book and I can now see a similar pin set up for Orth, the date matches too but that swas troubles me

i like it and have no doubts that it is a wartime piece. I have the same variant awarded in May 1942.

            greetings, Stefan

No, nothing wrong with the cross, it's an original-wartime ek
